Although the LED industry has developed rapidly in recent years, there is still a lack of authoritative technical standards, which results in unevenness in the whole industry, which is very unfavorable for large-scale promotion. As for LED street lamps with relatively high technical difficulty, the problems caused by the lack of technical standards are particularly obvious. Many LED manufacturers and integrators with excellent technology do not know how to design a practical garden light, and the application department can't tell the specific requirements. For example, many manufacturers have designed a "hollow-out" lampshade in order to solve the problem of LED heat dissipation. But for courtyard lights, this kind of shape has poor function of "shielding wind and rain" and is not suitable for LED courtyard lights.

Although under the strong support of the government, the LED courtyard lamp market is developing rapidly, it cannot be ignored that it is still facing severe challenges in order to truly obtain the long-term development of the LED courtyard lamp market. In addition to the high cost, the main problems faced by LED garden light products include: light source, heat dissipation and power supply system.

From the perspective of light sources, on the one hand, it is necessary to further improve the luminous efficiency of LEDs, and on the other hand, it is to improve the arrangement of light sources. In a large part of the LED garden light products on the market, the LED light sources are arranged in a lattice structure. The biggest advantage of this method is that it is helpful to solve the heat dissipation problem. However, due to the insufficient lateral irradiation distance of this structure, the light source distribution range is relatively short. It is not possible to realize the concentrated light distribution of the reflector cup, and it is necessary to use the secondary lens to achieve independent light distribution. This requires higher material selection for the secondary lens. There are certain problems with the secondary lens of different materials, which affects the product's performance. Effect. If it is not handled properly, the use of lenses will also affect the lighting effect and clarity of the road surface.

In order to improve the above problems, some LED garden light companies have introduced light sources that use integrated modules. This light source packaging form reduces the lack of brightness of one or several products due to the arrangement of light sources when the circuit board is soldered and the finished product is working. . In addition, since the reflector cup can be used to achieve concentrated light distribution, the negative effects caused by the use of secondary lenses can also be avoided. But it is undeniable that the light source using this type of package will face more severe heat dissipation challenges. From the perspective of power supply, different from traditional lighting products that can be directly connected to AC mains, LEDs are low-voltage drive devices and require constant current drive, which requires a redesign of the power supply system of LED garden lights. The cost of LED power supply accounts for about 10%-20% of the overall product cost, and the failure of the power supply system will affect the product life to a large extent.

Application promotion is also the reason that hinders the development of LED garden lights. Since there is no formal standard for LED garden lights, the main parameters such as color temperature, color rendering and glare have not yet been determined, and LED garden lights cannot be fully promoted. Secondly, the high price of LED garden lights also brings great difficulties to the promotion and application of LED street lights. In addition, the lighting standards for LED garden lights and the road pavement test method standards for using LED garden lights have not yet been formulated. At this stage, the development of the LED street light market mainly depends on the government's strong support.
